  • We have gone to that church on several occasions. Pastor Worrell is an uncompromising man of God who delivers the Bible with compassion, but without compromise. His sermons will challenge you and edify you. Pastor Worrell and Graceway Baptist Church are a blessing to the community and an exemplary extension of the body of Christ. To say that by not preaching exclusively out of the KJV makes the church non-Baptist is absolutely ridiculous. I have been a Southern Baptist for my entire life and I can truly only recall a few times out of my life that I have EVER heard a pastor preach from a KJV-Bible. This includes SEVERAL churches over the years along with Southern Baptist retreats and Revivals. And if you want to get technical about it, unless you speak Aramaic, Hebrew or Greek, then you have never read the original translation of the Word of God. In fact, the KJV actually invented the word Baptized. It comes from the Greek word "Baptissimo" which literally means "to immerse." The translators who were working on the KJV in the 15th century did not want to use the word "immerse" because they did not want to offend King James who had been "Sprinkled" for a baptism. So..How accurate is the KJV.
We are not putting down the KJV, just saying that there are many good and Godly translations of the Bible. To say that the only "uncompromised" biblical translation is the KJV, only shows ignorance (ie..uninformed..not stupid) on those who believe that.
    God Bless

  • Did you know that the original manuscripts of the Bible were not the KJV. If you are going to preach KJV is the only way, then why not read 1612 KJV, the original KJV before it was updated.

I visited this church on Wednesday 1/13/2010 and The preacher was not preaching from the KJV Bible so he was compromising the word of God.If they are not going to ust the King James Bible they need to take the word Baptist off of their sign !
